HMS AB7000-C Anybus PROFIBUS Gateway

AB7000-C is an Anybus Communicator protocol converter from HMS Networks, acting as a bridge between RS232/422/485 serial devices and PROFIBUS-DP V0 industrial bus. It converts Modbus RTU, ASCII, custom serial protocols into standard PROFIBUS data, presenting serial device data as simple I/O blocks to Siemens, ABB and Rockwell PROFIBUS master PLCs without modifying field equipment firmware.

This DIN rail-mounted gateway has been discontinued by the manufacturer and serves as critical maintenance spare for legacy factory and process automation systems. It features multi-status LED indicators for network diagnostic, supports offline configuration via PC software, and delivers galvanic isolation between serial and PROFIBUS ports to suppress industrial electromagnetic interference.
