Products Description
GE Panametrics AT686W AquaTrans Ultrasonic Flow Transmitter
AT686W is an ultrasonic liquid flow transmitter under GE Panametrics AquaTrans series, dedicated to clamp-on non-intrusive liquid flow measurement. It matches external ultrasonic clamp sensors to measure water flow without cutting pipelines, eliminating fluid leakage risks and pipe shutdown losses. The built-in LCD screen supports local flow rate, totalizer and fault data display, with isolated analog and digital communication output for DCS/PLC interconnection.

This wall-mounted industrial transmitter adopts IP65 dustproof and waterproof enclosure, with wide temperature adaptability for water plant, power plant circulating water and chemical pipeline flow monitoring. GE has discontinued original production, and it is a core maintenance spare for legacy water treatment and thermal power flow measurement systems globally.

Core Functions
- Process ultrasonic time-difference signals from external clamp-on sensors to calculate real-time liquid flow velocity and cumulative flow volume without pipeline cutting.
- Output standard 4–20mA analog flow signal to DCS/PLC for closed-loop water supply balance and circulation flow automatic regulation.
- Transmit flow data, equipment calibration parameters and pipeline abnormal fault codes via Modbus RTU bus to upper SCADA monitoring platform.
- Built-in multi-point pipeline parameter calibration function, supporting on-site pipe diameter, wall thickness and medium sound velocity parameter setting without additional calibrators.
- Full self-diagnosis circuit monitors ultrasonic signal strength continuously, triggering alarm output when sensors fall off or pipelines are empty to avoid invalid flow data.
- Non-intrusive measurement design avoids pipeline process shutdown during equipment replacement, greatly reducing water plant and power plant maintenance downtime.
Application Scenarios
- Spare ultrasonic flow transmitter replacement for circulating water pipeline monitoring systems of thermal power plant gas/steam turbine units.
- Flow measurement spare parts for waterworks, sewage treatment plants and urban central heating water supply pipeline automation cabinets.
- Maintenance backup stock for petrochemical factory cooling water, process water pipeline non-intrusive flow monitoring equipment.
- Matching signal acquisition unit for Foxboro FBM216 HART analog input DCS modules and GE Mark VI turbine control racks.
- Retrofit overhaul components for metallurgical factory cooling water and paper mill process water flow measurement systems.
- Global aftermarket spare inventory for water treatment and thermal power industry workshops maintaining legacy GE Panametrics flow measurement hardware.
