GF D233A (3BHE022294R0101) is ABB’s integrated excitation control and multi-channel I/O interface board, paired with accessory board 3BHE020356R0101, designed for generator excitation systems and DCS 500 series DC drive racks. It integrates analog signal sampling, excitation voltage/current closed-loop regulation, power factor control and multi-protocol communication, collecting generator stator/rotor feedback signals and outputting precise trigger control signals to power thyristor units for stable generator excitation operation.

This DIN rail-mounted module adopts full galvanic isolation circuit and industrial conformal coating to resist electromagnetic interference in power plant control cabinets. It supports hot-swappable replacement without full system shutdown, with built-in multi-stage hardware protection including overcurrent, overvoltage and overtemperature interlock. The matching sub-board 3BHE020356R0101 expands terminal signal distribution and auxiliary power conversion functions, forming a complete excitation control unit for thermal, hydro and distributed generator sets.
