GE VMIPCI-5565-110000 PCI Fiber Optic Reflective Memory Card


VMIPCI-5565-110000 is a high-speed fiber-optic reflective memory node card developed by GE VMIC (Abaco Systems), designed for standard PCI industrial computer slots. It builds a hardware-based real-time shared memory ring network via optical fiber, enabling deterministic low-latency data synchronization across distributed control nodes. Writing data to the on-board memory will be automatically mirrored to all other network nodes by FPGA hardware without CPU protocol overhead, meeting strict hard real-time control demands.

This model is equipped with 128MB on-board shared memory and SC fiber interface, supporting multi-mode fiber up to 500m and single-mode fiber up to 20km inter-node transmission distance. Industrial-grade PCB with EMC filtering adapts to harsh electromagnetic environments in simulation and power control systems. It is widely used as critical spare hardware for semi-physical simulation, flight simulators and nuclear power distributed control racks.
